Liz is a six-time cancer survivor, entrepreneur, and relentless problem-solver. After earning her bachelor’s degree from Boston University and an MBA from the University of Southern California, she spent more than 20 years in corporate marketing before launching The Balm Box.
As president and CEO, Liz combines grit, creativity, and a mission-driven mindset to turn personal challenges into meaningful impact. She also teaches undergraduate business marketing at the University of Kansas and serves on the board of The Mainstream Coalition. Liz lives in the Kansas City suburbs with her husband, two children, and one “terrible” dog who keeps her humble, laughing, and occasionally chasing her slippers.
Through her work, she demonstrates that resilience, vision, and a touch of humor can transform adversity into action—making the world a little kinder, one thoughtfully curated care package at a time.
